What has been your favorite class so far at Mason?
It is a tie between Communication 100- Public Speaking and Global & Community Health 205- International Health.  The professors who taught these courses brought the subjects to life.  When you have a teacher who is passionate about the subject material, you learn a great deal and share in the excitement.  I had Professor Jeremy Hodgson for Public Speaking and Professor Carol Corso for International Health.

Who is your favorite professor?
My favorite professor is Kelly Wolfe.  She has been the most supportive person during my time at Mason.  She is an excellent professor and she embraced my creative writing.  She allowed me to explore different areas within the required class material.

What are you most excited about this academic year?
I am excited to potentially become a Global Politics Fellow through the Global Affairs Department.  I would attend classes at the Arlington campus for this program in the spring 2014 semester.  It would give me the opportunity to explore different resources while at Mason.  I am also looking forward to engaging the campus community in the meal assistance fund for Mason students in need.  The program is called “Patriot 2 Patriot.”

What was your inspiration for starting the Patriot 2 Patriot program?
It actually came up suddenly.  I feel like my purpose in life is to help others. I thrive to ensure that people have equal resources.  I saw a need in the Mason community and it was a conflict that I wanted to fix.

What are your career aspirations?
Ultimately I would like to work for the United Nations Development Program in sub-Saharan Africa.  I want to work specifically on institutional development to improve the education system.

What is your favorite world cuisine?
I love Italian food.  My favorite meal ever was a mushroom risotto dish I ate in Venice, Italy.
