Does the PASS program really help to achieve good standing?

Effectiveness of Path to Academic Student Success (PASS) Program

This is a comparison between the resulting cumulative GPA and academic standing for undergraduate students with a GPA below 2.0 in CHSS who participated in the PASS program, and students in the same population who did not participate in the PASS program.

PASS1

Results

  • The number of students who saw an increase in their cumulative GPA was 46% higher for those who participated in the PASS program than for the rest of the population below 2.0 who did not participate in PASS.

PASS2

  • Similarly, the number of students who achieved good standing was 14% higher for the PASS cohort than for the rest of the population below 2.0.
